The Republican Party without enough vitamin e veered into the ditch during the caucus and primary season. Outrageous and frightening individuals tried to snare the GOP nomination. This set the tone for the remainder of the contest. Mitt Romney had to try and be to the right of the rest of the field on immigration, community college education support, draconian cuts, contraception,, abortion in cases of rape and other concrete issues where the right wing ran Romney off the road.
